argument speech books or films

Argument Speech: book or film  By Liz

Today I will be talking about the subject of books and films and which one to choose if you had to. First off which one would you choose books or films?  when it comes to choosing one over the other it gets hard. I personally myself would choose books even though i love films.

Many people describe books as an escape from the real world. The first ever book was made with Papyrus which is Egyptian paper or in a certain video game a spaghetti loving skeleton. In books there are many different genres such as horror, fantasy, comedy, murder mystery and much more. There are also different types of books like fiction, Non fiction and my personal favourite comic books. Although books have been around longer more people seem to like movies these days which I do agree with. If you think about it movies often get inspired by books.

Now onto most people’s favourite topic movies. The world’s first motion picture film was made by the Thomas Edison company in 1895.  Movies have most of the same genres as book but movies also have age rating which can actually be really annoying because you could be waiting to watch a film for ages and the age rating is a 16 or something. Films often make people who read the books watch the film. The problem with films is that  they sometimes  take your favourite characters and change them completely most of the time for worse. Or they take classic films and turn them into a cheesy love story. But there are also the films which end up being amazing and unforgettable mostly disney films or harry potter or star wars of course.

It can get quite irritating waiting for a film to be released but same goes for books. Films involve voice acting which is what i want to be when i am older which makes it hard to choose between books or films. More people seem to watch films these days but that’s how society works.  Hopefully now you  can choose between films and books if you didn’t already.
